Old Scotch Distillery Reopens After 20 Years; to be Sold for £3 million

And here is some hard piece of news. After 20 years, Scotland’s oldest distillery is expected to be reopened for sale. Positioned at Portsoy in Banffshire, the Glenglassaugh distillery is a part of the Edrington Group which is equipped with The Macallan, Famous Grouse and Highland Park.

It is being reported to be sold off to a conglomerate of buyers based in Eastern Europe for as much as £3 million. The distillery was installed in 1875 and was shut since 1986.
