If you happen to have been to a spa in Asia that you loved, then pay attention because the nominations for the sixth AsiaSpa Awards have opened. This award as the name suggest is given to some of the best spas in the continent. Covering over 28 categories, it is awarded to those spas that have emerged on top based on current trends and also their consistency in performance.
Some of the main categories are: “Best Urban Spa of the Year†and “Best Holistic Treatment of the Yearâ€. This year they have introduced a brand new category called “Most Innovative Spaâ€, and will recognize those spas that have demonstrated an innovative spa concept, new designs, or unique spa treatments. Nominations are open till August 29. After all the nominations are in, 20 expert judges will compile a shortlist for all the categories from which the winners will be chosen.
The award ceremony will take place at The Mira in Hong Kong on November 11. On the occasion of the award, The Mira will offer a 10% discount on the daily Best Available Rate for all those attending. To avail the concession, the gusts will have to quote their booking code “ASA2010†along with their reservations.
