News is Carnival Cruise Lines’ 2,052-passenger Fantasy would undergo a renovation program costing some $$$$$$ at a shipyard in Mobile. The revamp is a division of Carnival’s $250 million overhaul program including eight 5,000-ton fantasy-class vessels. Word is around that the Fantasy that sails from New Orleans to the Caribbean on a 4-5 day tour is anticipated to go into dry dock in Mobile from 6 Sept.-4 October. The behest process for the overhaul is projected to be absolute by May-end. Lately it completed $30 million renovation and now includes a unique 300-foot winding waterslide, a resort-style main pool area, spa and cabin augmentation.
