Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton Bread Van Comes to the House of Krug

LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton) wine division is really the king of luxury and when they had to promote their Krug Champagne in 1984, they could not just use any vehicle that they could get. They required an outstanding van that would stand apart, and look luxurious and bizarre at the same time. This Rolls Royce “bread van” was sold by the company later but has now returned to the House of Krug in Reims, the Champagne-Ardenne region of France, as a museum piece.

The Rolls Royce bread van is a 1979 Silver Shadow II Sedan and was turned into a three-door commercial van. It comes with space for the driver and one passenger. It also has an open rear compartment and the two refrigerators can keep all the wine possible. The Krug crest and logos comes with a special cork key ring.

It takes you back nearly 3 decades when the marketing ploys were limited to such tactics, and not so advanced like they are today. Krug Champagne is one of the crowning glories of LVMH wine division, and even to this day it remains the best in the world. A glass of Moet could be more expensive than any other drink in the world.

  • I was wondering if you know where I could purchase some Clear Hennessy. I heard it was made, but have yet to find it. I am a soldier in the US army and I am deployed. I am wanting to have some of this product upon returning to the states, but was hoping you could let me know where to get it from. Thank you and I hope you can help me out.
