A few years ago Miss Dior Chérie had done some very successful work and that advertisement became a very popular YouTube sensation. It was later also reported that Sofia Coppola was hired again for a new ad campaign for the fragrance and this advertisement has Natalie Portman starring in it.
The advertisement shows Natalie Portman looking gorgeous as always and she is in an apartment in Paris, where she is taking a bath wearing sunglasses. The background is hazily lit and the iconic song “Je T’aime Moi Non Plus†by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin has been used for the advertisement.Â
Sofia Coppola’s previous advertisement for Chanel that became so popular was very imaginative, memorable and whimsical and if it weren’t for Natalie Portman this advertisement would not come up to the mark as the previous one, but it is definitely worth looking at. So there is a line up of acclaimed directors taking up advertisements for big fashion houses and Darren Aronofsky has directed an advertisement for Yves Saint Laurent’s Perfume “La Nuit de L’Homme†that has Vincent Cassel in it and this advertisement releases in Europe next month.
