Former Baywatch actor David Charvet and his fiancé Brooke Burke of Dancing With The Stars fame are selling their Malibu home, the Chateau Charvet, for $12.5 million. If that seems to steep a price to pay, interested parties have another option: to rent the property at a whopping $75,000 a month.
The Chateau Charvet boasts of French-style architecture. The luxury mansion occupies an L-shaped strip of two acres. Charvet purchased the property back in 1998 for $1.275 million, and the two-storey house was built before 2006, which was when Charvet and Burke started dating. Later, the couple carried out renovations on the 6,769-square-foot home. Charvet and Burke have been residing here with their four kids. Among the most attractive features of the Chateau Charvet are an 18th-century fountain, an infinity swimming pool and a spa. Gas lamps add a touch of quaint elegance to this luxury home.
As you step inside, prepare to be stunned by the French fireplaces. The home has a wine cellar and a hidden screening room. The family rooms have an open plan. Plus, Burke even has a closet to house her extra, off-season outfits. Luxury rentals are rarely this grand.
