Mariah Carey’s perfume it seems is as sweet as her mellifluous voice. There is a whole range of perfumes out there in the market which boast of celebrity names. It has become some sort of trend that everyone’s gotta have a scent in their name. All of them not always are that great. But Forever Mariah Carey is definitely one to buy from the counters. The smell is sweet but not too overpowering, which might result in a headache.
Named after Mariah Carey’s single from the Daydream album, this ethereal fragrance smells like a meadow of flowers. Though it has been billed as a modern opulent floral scent, it doesn’t really seem all that modern. The scent is more reminiscent of old school glamour. I agree with the floral part, but opulent wouldn’t be the word to describe it as it is too understated. But I guess that is what is so special about it.
Developed by perfumer Olivier Gillotin, this perfume contains notes of neroli, lotus blossom, tuberose, gardenia, apple, and a bit of white musk and exotic woods to give it that extra warmness. 1.7 ounce of Forever Mariah Carey sells for $55.
