Khalil Rabah’s ‘Philistine 1997, Oxford Desk Dictionary and Thesaurus and Nails’ at Sotheby’s

Even in your wildest thought, can a dictionary ever cost $24,000- $30,000? Well, it is the anticipated price of the Oxford desk dictionary and Thesaurus and nails by Khalil Rabah. It would be available at the “Arts of the Islamic World,” scheduled to happen at Sotheby’s Auction house on 24 October.

Other precious artwork expected at the exhibition include creation by Iranian artists viz. “Heech” by Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli, “Floating Hexagon” by Iranian artist Monir Farmanfarmaian, also highlighting artworks entitled “Oo Bakhshandeh Ast” by Mohammad Ehsani and “Bad Luck” by Mostafa Dashti, Mughal gem-set jade hilted dagger and bronze lion-form incense burner from Khurasan .
