Katana Glass Sword Will Inspire Love For Art

Swords mean different things to different people. Of course, there is the lot which nonchalantly believes that ‘many a man has fallen prey to the sword’. Then there are others who completely criticize the historical truth. Men today like to keep it hanging on their walls as a mark of masculinity. But of course, there are women who do not approve of it for giving out a bad and violent impression. And we think that the Katana sword could mean all of the above but not mean them too. Yes, for this one is a work of art.

Let us give you some more dope on this. It is a very rare glass sword, and so is potential eye candy for serious collectors. It has been designed by reputed glass artist Monique Schloss. Close to seventy diamonds have been used to decorate this work of art. There are plenty of rubies thrown in too. From what we hear, it took the artist almost six months to come up with this exquisite work.

Let us also give a special mention to the fact that all gems are flawless and have been contained in the glass (and not glued to it). So you can well imagine how intricate the process of crafting the Katana sword must have been. No wonder it carries a price tag of $1,000,000. You can start bidding for it at Bonhams New York in January.
