Jerry Seinfeld Lists his 26 Acre Estate in Telluride for $18.25 mn

There was serious rumor in the New York real estate market that Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian made famous by his TV show, is contemplating selling his Upper West Side Manhattan co-op at the Beresford as he would like to shift to a town house on the other side of New York’s Central Park. But Wall Street Journal reported last week that Seinfeld has listed his luxury Colorado home which is a 26 acre estate in Telluride. The luxury property has been listed for $18.25 million and is being handled by Peaks Real Estate, who are an affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The house in question was originally built in 1991. Seinfeld, who is ranked 40th on the Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list with earnings of $70 million in the past year, has recently completed a multimillion dollar expansion cum renovation on the house and one can expect to get the house fully furnished. The mansion has 14,200 square feet of built up area. The home has 11 bedrooms and eleven full bathrooms and three half baths. The home has an eco-friendly structure which is made of wood and stone and has a shake roof. The house boasts of a wet bar, a hot tub and two lofts.

There is a grand 5,500 square foot patio outside which offers majestic views of Sunshine Peak and Wilson Peak. Telluride was originally a mining town which has now become a secondary home destination for the rich, famous and ski enthusiasts. In fact the home that Seinfeld has listed is situated near the Telluride Ski Resort. There are other high profile owners in the area including fashion hot shot Ralph Lauren and the Hollywood power couple Katie and Tom Cruise. The estate is now open for visits by prospective buyers but only qualified, vetted buyers will get to tour Seinfeld’s Telluride estate in person.
