This was the view of Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde that became a reality recently.
Intimacy project is all about a sensuous technology that feels close to one’s skin. Studio Roosegaarde V2 Lab is the name of Daan’s lab which has developed his sight with the aid of fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra. All these garments have been made with a wireless, interactive technology that makes use of smart foils that can even be transparent in places.
A custom material with the capability of fading from transparent to white and vice versa has been used to make the dresses. This is able to offer a very intimate experience and a sensual display of disclosure. You will notice the illuminated globe aka pearl that is equipped with a wireless device which communicates with the dress viz RS transmission. This one marks the beginning of a new era.
