Mark Weingard is the owner and creator of this island of luxury. He had a residence on the spot for years and loved it. He got in touch with a local company and decided to work with them on expanding the site and creating Iniala. He was in Phuket in 2004 when the tsunami hit the island and devastated it completely. Weingard had been wanting, since then, to do something to bring back the glory of the island. Iniala Beach House is his way of investing and giving back to the area. The rebuilding of the area post tsunami has improved the access to the island and the facilities available. It has resulted in an increased flow of tourists both couples and families.
There is a Gourmet Restaurant on the Grounds of the Beach House
The island offers a lot of exciting activities for tourists including elephant safaris, a visit to the famous James Bond Island at Phang Nga Bay, and beautiful excursions by boat. The guests at the Iniala Villas are pampered silly. They enjoy the services of personal driver, butler, chef, housekeeper and spa therapist, plus six hours of spa treatments per day. The dining at Iniala is a gourmet experience. Apart from the food served in the villas there is a gourmet restaurant on the grounds of the beach house called Azurmendi which is run by Eneko Atxa, a three-Michelin-starred chef from Bilbao, Spain. The prices start at £11,400 per villa per week, including all meals and spa treatments.
