Nothing is impossible, it’s just that impossible takes little longer. This is what is true for Hollywood Sign Site on Cahuenga Peak at down town Los Angeles. Now since the fame and identity of the Sign was at risk, general public and topnotch Celebs secured the property which now belongs to public everlastingly. After so much effort put in by people all over world, especially by public of Los Angeles the site is safe.
The Hollywood Sign Site at 138 acres on Cahuenga Peak was up for sale. When the company tried selling the land in pieces to build luxury houses, it invited the rage of people around. Back in 1978 similar incident took place when Hugh Hefner, Playboy magazine founder donated huge amount of money to save the Sign Site. Maintaining his good side, Hefner again donated big amount, $900,000 to save the property.
People from all over the world get together to keep the distinct Signs at the place. Campaign via Facebook collects donation worth $200, 000. Tiffany and Co together with Aileen Getty is helping the cause by collecting $500,000 for the Sign. $5.7 million came from State and local funds for land acquisition.
At this time when the site is preserved for the public, everyone is relieved that it would never have houses and any other development and remain preserved for public. It’s a story for success for all who seek out seeds of triumph in adversity.

Just to be clear, the Hollywood Sign was never in jeopardy with regards to the Cahuenga Peak land. The Sign sits right next to this parcel of land, and it would have been a shame to see houses built nearby, but the Sign and the land it sits on are already well protected.
