Tradition And Modernity Combine To Create The Sinuous Guitar

Do you love strumming on guitars? Well, there is a new guitar on the block – the Sinuous guitar. Designer Greg Opatik began creating these beautiful guitars five years ago. The Opatik wanted to move away from merely making modifications to classic guitars. Opatik has been playing the guitar since childhood. So he clubbed his own experience as a guitar player with his design and manufacturing background while coming up with the stunningly crafted Sinuous guitar.

The Sinuous guitars, as designed by Greg Opatik, have been constructed using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. This ensures that each guitar is of consistently high quality. CNC machines cut the guitars to accurate dimensions. However, the finish and other details (hand-sanding the wood, for example) have to be carried out manually. Currently, Sinuous offers a single model known as the SD-22. This beautiful guitar is available in five variations – Santos ($2,150), Vintage ($1,950), Red ($1,950), Black ($1,750) and White ($1,750). All of these variations have bodies made of poplar wood. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and the neck is of hard maple. Buyers can choose among guitar tops in the Santos Palisander, American Hard Maple (Black or White) and Flamed Maple (Vintage or Red) styles.

The 25.5-inch guitar features 22 frets measuring 6105 in size. Sinuous, which operates out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is also developing a guitar amp. The amps are designed to match the five Sinuous guitar variations while also adding a new look to your home. The next time you go shopping for a new guitar, keep the Sinuous guitar in mind.
