French Government Gifts William And Kate An S.T. Dupont Travel Trunk Set

Weddings are never complete without the unending rows of gifts; more so, when it is a royal wedding. Now we hear that veteran trunk-maker S.T. Dupont has created an extra special travel trunk set for Price William and Kate. It has been two months since Prince William and his longtime sweetheart Kate Middleton exchanged their wedding vows in Westminster Abbey, but we continue to be awed by reports of spectacular gifts that have been given to the royal couple.

The set of travel trunks was gifted to the royal couple by no less than the French government. The main trunk in this two piece travel trunk set has been upholstered with “black full grain contrast” leather. S.T. Dupont’s exclusive diamond power tanning process has been utilized to give this unique luxury trunk a one-of-a-kind effect. Since this is the official gift from the French government, the locks of this “official” trunk bears the arms of the French Republic. The other trunk in this two piece set is a separate case for toiletries.

However, this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as this high profile gift for the equally high profile couple is concerned. There are separate his and hers gifts for the royal couple. So Kate gets a Liberte Blanc leather case with a white pearl grain effect, a conference case also in leather and Liberte writing instruments. The latter are made from white pearl lacquer and palladium. They are engraved with her initials.

Meanwhile, the Prince gets a conference case in Contrast black leather, Windsor black writing instruments and a black Ligne 2 Windsor lighter that bear his initials.
