Four Seasons Bora Bora Offers $1 Million Private Island Rental Package

Nowadays, private islands are the way to go if you are rich, famous or both. Richard Branson may have paved the way with his Necker Island, but since then, many other players have joined the fray. The most recent entrant in the private island rental business is luxury hotel chain Four Seasons. The hotel chain is offering an all-inclusive deal on its luxury property in Bora Bora.

The contrast to Necker Island is striking, at least in terms of size. While Necker Island has only eight guest rooms (which makes it perfect for that small group getaway), Four Seasons Bora Bora is better suited to larger parties. This private island resort has one hundred over-water bungalows and seven beachfront villas. So if you want to host a wedding, or a fiftieth wedding anniversary or celebrate the launch of your new business, this is as good as it gets. Moreover, you can revel on this island for seven whole nights – for that is the length of this private island rental package. And your bill? That would be $1 million for the week!

It sounds exorbitant, but it really all works out. You could rent Necker Island for much less (starting from $322,000 per week), but in per-person terms it would fall much more expensive. Just do the math. All you would have to ensure is that you bring two hundred friends and get the most out of this private island rental.

Guests at Four Seasons Bora Bora will get to stay within thatched roof homes that boast of the latest technology, local artwork, teak furniture and luxurious bathrooms. Apart from accommodation, the million-dollar rental deal is inclusive of meals and beverages at the four on-site restaurants, a spa treatment per guest, access to all resort facilities and much more. The resort’s location ensures that guests can set out on a range of marine adventures, from scuba diving to feeding sharks to windsurfing. Guests may also use Four Season Bora Bora’s maritime fleet, which includes everything from kayaks to a 40-passenger catamaran. A 250-strong staff will take pains to ensure that all two hundred guests remain completely pampered.

This private island rental is completely kid-friendly too. There is a supervised Kids for All Seasons program plus a Chill teen clubhouse with its own private beach.

Four Seasons Bora Bora also houses a private Lagoon Sanctuary that is managed in partnership with not-for-profit organization Pacific Eco-World Initiative. Biologist Oliver Martin runs this research center, which is home to beautiful and varied corals in addition to over a hundred different types of other marine life.

It also appears that the resort has different package deals on offer. You can book it for a shorter or longer period, depending on your requirements. There is also the option of not going all-inclusive. Thus, you can book all the rooms minus the food, beverage and other goodies for $45,000 for three-nights. That works out to $420 per room per night. Rather reasonable in luxury travel circles, wouldn’t you agree?
