Datograph Perpetual Calendar Enjoys A Sombre Play Of Colors

Gray seems to be the color of the season, for watches in particular. The latest addition to this trend goes by the name of Datograph Perpetual Calendar, which is designed and developed by A. Lange & Sohne. But this one carries ‘gray’ a bit differently. Well, it has been made in white gold with a gray dial. The touch is very classy, especially with the blue trim on the moon phase. We really liked the play of colors in this one.

This timepiece symbolizes sober fashion as the 30-minute fly back chronograph along with the perpetual calendar with moon phase and big-date display hold the main attraction. Then there is the day/night indicator.

The L952.1 handmade mechanism is very complex. The manually wound system is supported by 556 parts. The various plates and bridges in untreated German silver move to give an advantage of a 36-hour power-reserve. The perpetual calendar is tuned till 2100 and then 122 years after that. The case extends to 44mm with front and back made in sapphire crystal. A crocodile strap complements the whole structure. Everything about this watch spells quality and refinement.
