These days, using the spherical form of ice against cube in your glass filled with whisky is being welcomed. And nothing goes blind with this fad as there is a justifiable reason. They say the round ice melts slowly than ordinary square stuff as they have better surface-area or volume ratio. A Japanese firm called Taisin has unveiled a wonderful, seamless ice-sphere that requires no additional chipping or shaving.
All you need to do is to drop a chunk of ice into the metal press and as it melts the device will shut, thereby forming an ice ball that can be released by the flip of a button. Available in 55, 65, 70, and 80mm mold sizes, the ice mold is capable enough to produce 30-40 ice balls in an hour. The low-melting time of ice can be counted as its USP as a person can stay with a wine glass for a long. What say guys?
