The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the oldest, largest and most recognized spirits competition in the United States. It has earned the credibility and the trust of the industry because it is judged by thirty-three prominent spirits experts including Anthony Dias Blue and Tony Abou-Ganim.
Tequila Avión was competing in the event for the first time but were amongst the most successful brands as their Tequila Avion Silver was awarded Double Gold in the Unaged Tequila category and Avión Añejo a Gold medal in the Aged Tequila category. Ken Austin, Founder of Tequila Avión was thrilled to have scored in their very first attempt. He credited Kenny Dichter also for the success as he supported him whole heartedly in his quest for the world’s smoothest and best tasting tequila. He said that their focus on quality and taste helped them succeed.
Jenna Fagnan, President of Tequila Avión thanked the industry for the support and especially mentioned the support of the mixology community, retailers and the distribution partners. The media also played a role in their quick rise to prominence by carrying positive reviews by experts. These awards will expedite the expansion plans and the three Avión varietals, Silver, Reposado and Añejo will soon be available in the high end bars, clubs, restaurants and liquor stores all over the country.
