First collection of Bourdeax Winebank 2000 Goes For Auction Today in Manhattan

Today is a big day for wine connoisseurs for an important selection of the 2000 vintage Bourdeaux Winebank is going to be auctioned through the hammer of auction house Sotheby’s. This auction is primarily to cherish 10 glorious years of the great 2000 vintage. The collection is touted to be among the Finest and Rarest Wines Sale that New York City has ever witnessed.

A good number of 128 lots are expected to be offered and rake in as much $890,500 to $1.3 million in total not considering the buyer’s premium. Wines like Chateau Lafite, Chateau Latour, Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Chateau Margaux are part of the auction and this seems to be the most expensive open sale ever exercised of this peculiarity by Sotheby’s.If you just hopped out of your chair as you read this, please note that the auction is going to be Sotheby’s location seated in 1334 York Avenue at East 72nd Street in Manhattan. Just in case, today isn’t your lucky day, the second part of this 2000 collection will be sold in Hong Kong on on January 23, 2011 at the Mandarin Oriental with an expected price of HK$8.4 million to HK$12.6 million i.e. US$1.1 million to US$1.6 million, again prices exclusive of buyer’s premium.
