Famous Estates with history on sale

Michael Crichton the famous author of stories like ”Jurassic Park” “The Andromeda Strain” and “Congo” died in 2008 at the age of 66. His estate in Hawaii has been put up on the market for $12 million. The estate built in 1926 for a local Doctor is situated on Kauai’s Hanalei Bay. The estate surrounded by mountains occupies 1.2acres and has two houses on three lots. The 3000 sq feet main house has two bedrooms and the guest cottage also boasts of two bedrooms. There are botanical gardens also on the estate.

Estancia Alicura, a ranch in the Patagonia region of Argentina is owned  by Ward Lay the son of the cofounder of Frito-Lay Co. Ward Lay had bought the ranch in 1998 from the Benetton family and claims that he has made many improvements including converting the site from sheep to cattle ranching. The ranch is up for sale for $30 million. Hall& Hall of Sun Valley have the listing.

In the late 1960s Ringo Starr, the Beatles Drummer lived in a home in Weybridge. The current owners of the estate would like to sell it and are asking for $8.6 million. The house was known as Sunny Heights and has six bedrooms, six baths and a psychedelic mural painted over the fireplace. Savills of Weybridge have the listing.
