Fabergé is a timeless and esteemed jewelry house. Best known for their decorative eggs, the jewelry house with a reputation of being the finest in Russia, had been somewhat sidelined from the mainstream. But they are making a comeback to the centre stage with sure and steady steps. They have released their first ad campaign in decades in the best fashion magazines. The legendary jewelers had been away from the advert world for long but have comeback with a bang. They have put together a team of the best professionals from media and fashion for the purpose.
The comeback has to be grand to have an impact and the campaign has managed to come up with a stunning concept. Bee Gee, the rising Russian-Lithuanian model appears in the ads. The pieces she is wearing in the ads come from the Les Fabuleuses de Fabergé and Les Saisons Russes collections. Mario Testino, the renowned fashion photographer was commissioned to shoot the ad. Testino is amongst the best in the business and has shot some big name celebrities including Princess Diana.
Fabergé Creative Director Katharina Flohr has worked with Testino earlier. It was under the leadership of the duo that the Russian Vogue was launched in 1998. The latest from the haute jewelry has been showcased in the ad. They are a fine example of fusion between Western and Russian cultures. The highlight however, is a necklace that features the iconic Fabergé egg as a pendant. The house of jewelry which was founded in 1842 has diversified and widened its product range that now includes objets d’art, brooches, bracelets, and even timepieces for gentlemen.
