De Bethune’s DB25 special edition watch was much appreciated when it was showcased at the Only Watch 2011. Its beautiful night sky dial had attracted everyone. As a tribute to Steve Jobs, De Bethune has recreated the timepiece in the form of iPhone 4 cases. Called the Dream Watch IV case, it is being released in a limited edition of only 12 pieces. The case is made from high grade titanium and the DB25 watch has been incorporated on the back. The timepiece based on the same theme has been recreated in a different avatar; however it has a very familiar look.
The night sky blue dial with stars strewn all over is practically the same. The stars in the sky are very minute and are basically hand crafted diamonds. They glitter to create the impression of stars in the night sky. DB2105S movement which has been patented by De Bethune and has twin barrels and platinum silicon annular balance has been used to govern all the movements in the watch. It is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship and De Bethune has positioned it as the pocket watch for the 21st century. The iPhone case will be officially launched at the De Bethune exhibition in the Grand Lac salon of the Hotel des Berges, in Geneva in January.
