Christie’s $25 mn Auction Eyes Lucille Ball’s Jewels

Following the sale of “silver metal headboard”, Queen’s Marie-Jose’s historic charms at London Christies’ auctions, soon you can be a part of diamond world at Christie’s hall only.

Jewels of a celebrity are set for auction again. Right after one month from now, the splendid ornaments would be available for sale at Christie’s auction house. This auction scheduled for 16 October in New York claims to feature jewels of around $25 million including chattels of actress Lucille Desiree Ball.

Among the exhibited accessories, you may find jewelry signed by Van Cleef & Arpels such as a matching set of yellow azure and diamond jewelry viz. a pendant necklace, ring and ear clips pair. A share of the sales generated through this auction would go to the The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Jamestown, New York.

The sale will also feature a variety of pricey diamonds viz. 38.47 D, VS1 diamond expected to be sold for $2,300,000-$2,500,000. Many other diamonds including a 7.88 carats pear-shaped fancy blue-gray diamond worth $700,000-$1,000,000 and another orange-yellow diamond of 12.55 carats is estimated for $800,000-$1,200,000.

On the same day, Christie also organizes another sale exhibiting 40 elegant pieces worth $4 million. The anthology displays an array of Harry Winston precious jewels counting a rectangular-cut, D, VVS2 Type IIa 23.14 carat diamond ring that is expected to generate sales of $800,000-$1,200,000.

My all eyes are on the Tiffany & Co. brooch (above). Formed like a Maltese cross with a blemished goblet design of sapphires, gold and diamonds surrounding the central square-cut aquamarine, weighs 19.48 carats and is retailed at $15,000-$25,000.
