If you are as claustrophobic as I am, you would certainly not want to stay in Capsule Hotel Shinjuku 510 in Tokyo. It used to be a hotel where people and businessmen used to stay overnight in case they did not want to go home.
Now, thanks to Japanese recession and economic downturn, many people have started to move out from their expensive apartments and have begun to live in Capsule Hotel Shinjuku 510. The living space is hardly enough to stretch your legs and there isn’t any privacy either as there is no door but just curtains.
You would have to pay $620, and would get some linen and a TV. It is actually beginning to start a new trend of Capsule Hotels which only provide place to sit and lie down, but nothing more than that. With Japanese economy sinking so badly, it does not seem to be a particularly bad idea. If you are planning to visit Tokyo, it would be indeed a weird and unique experience to stay in this cool but tiny hotel. So go ahead and try it!
it is a unique idea and i am confideant it will be a succcess considering recession trend prevailing in japan.
how to go about it if someone wants to start similar type of hotel in india. What would be the project cost etc. Could please provide us more details about capsule hotels for our information.
