We do realise that it is a tad too early to talk firplaces but we took this liberty a few days back with the FIRE coffee table that took our fancy; and here we are taking the same liberty with the new Babylon ethanol fireplace by Stephane Perruchon. The maker claims that this unique furniture unit puts the focus back on ‘home is where the hearth is’, and we could not have agreed more.
For starters, this one is as eco-friendly as it gets because of the amazing fueling system. Then there is the captivating design, a pattern which we really haven’t seen before, that gets supported by the structure of a small steel cable. In fact, the designer has not limited the fireplace to only one shape as there is a huge range for you to pick up from – rectangular, square, cylindrical, pyramindal, hexagonal and so on.
That is not the only choice you get to make with the Babylon ethanol fireplace as you can also decide to get the burner installed horizontally or vertically. As of now, there is no certainity of wheter this concept has already hit the market, we think we’ll have to do some of our own exploration. Do let us know if you spot it first. No word on expected price range too.
