We just came across a snazzy party table called the “Aperitivo Table” designed by Eu Ju Park from Korea. The good news is that ‘Aperitivo Table’ has been shortlisted as one of the 100 best entries for the recent designboom competition, which is soon to begin in callaboration with ‘Peroni Nastro Azzurro’.
Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London will host an exhibition show from September 30 to October 4, 2009 for the shortlisted winners to display their projects. The usual and ordinary square tables or round tables do not quite do a good job during parties when so many people gather around the table to eat and converse.
What distinguishes the ‘Aperitivo Table’ from the rest is its special feature that can hold food and drink together. The table per se looks like a tree with a lot of branches of small circles. These branches are individually connected to the main stand.
The multiple circles on the branches allow you to place and remove glasses with a lot of ease. This will save a lot of space during parties. Indeed, a very creative and unique idea!
