The TAG Heure Grand CARRERA Calibre 36 RS Caliper Chronograph was first unveiled at BraselWorld 2008 while it was still in the concept form. Finally, the elegant watch made in collaboration of TAG Heure and legendary Japanese car designer Ken Okuyama is released. It sports the Grand CARRERA name. This watch can measure and display 1/10 of a second increments that comes by way of the central seconds hand.
It is the first mechanical automatic chronograph watch. It also comes with a chronometer movement certified by COSC at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. The rotating scale of the watch enables precision reading at 1/10th of a second via a 10x magnification. Its 43mm black titanium carbide-coated case is incorporated with sleek chronograph buttons reminiscent of the pedals on GT cars.
The titanium carbide-coated rubber bracelet looks amazing and it is one of the best features of the watch. You can buy this sophisticated The TAG Heuer Grand CARRERA Calibre 36 RS Caliper Chronograph for about $8,900. It’s a tad too expensive for me but I know good things like this watch seldom come with cheap price tags.
