Alberto Frias, the artist and designer had designed a pod almost a decade back in 2002. His Transport Perceptual Pod had literally triggered a revolution in the wellness home furniture genre. The Mexican designer is considered a master in the art of designing modern lifestyle furniture. There is a strong spiritual influence in his designs that convey a power of inner healing. His original Transport Pod was created for fun and had various high tech features including LED lights synchronized with music. His new Om Meditation Pod is more focused on relaxation that would rejuvenate you.
The pod provides a personal meditation environment to the user. The sound system attached to the pod gives you a melodious chant of OM. It is considered to be the sound of the universe capable of creating positive energy around you. The design of the pod is not radically different from his earlier design. It is an oval cocoon finished in shiny white color. The pod has comfortable interiors with dim lights and Anthony Gallo speakers. The pod is crafted out of fiberglass shell by hand. Hence it is possible to customize it with different finishes, colors and materials.
The OM Meditation Pod has received very enthusiastic response. The designer claims it to be a transformed version of his original pod. He has used organic cotton material for cushions. The pod is outfitted with Phillips color kinetics LED lighting system and Anthony Gallo high fidelity sound system. Made from soy based fiberglass the new pod is finished with a gel coat exterior and matte finish interior. You should provide for a lead time of six weeks when you order for the pod that weighs 100 lbs. The pod is not inexpensive as it will cost you $12,000.
