Abu Dhabi to Create Largest Guggenheim to Become Cultural Tourism Destination

Abu Dhabi has an economic vision for 2030 and the emirate is working diligently towards it. Building the world’s largest Guggenheim branch is a step, rather a wave of development towards that vision. Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) have finally invited bids for the construction of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. It is at the heart of the plan to transform Abu Dhabi into a cultural tourism destination.

Guggenheim is, no doubt, the central project but around it there are a portfolio of projects worth billions of Dinars that are at various stages of design and construction. The TDIC has requested interested contractors who meet the necessary criteria to ask for a pre-qualification document in order to bid. The piling and the overall design work for the project is complete.

There are over 55 projects in all including a couple of islands. There are projects planned at 15 different locations. The projects range from golf clubs to hotels to luxury villas. All the projects have been planned around Guggenheim. Abu Dhabi Investment Council is working closely with the TDIC to ensure a smooth and timely flow of finances for the proposed projects so that they are completed on schedule.
