A. Lange & Sohne Goes Automatic Next Year With Lange 1 Daymatic Watch

Come 2010, and you can flaunt the Lange 1 Daymatic watch on your wrists. This one is famous German luxe watch maker A. Lange & Sohne’s way to welcome the new times ahead. This one is being regarded as the first ever automatic watch in Lange 1 line for the brand very rarely dabbles into automatic movements and sticks to creating timepieces that are kept ticking by the in-house developed movements, which, in turn are in accordance with the traditional styles.

No wonder Lange 1 Daymatic is drawing so much attention. It has an automatic winding movement that helps increase the utility of the power reserve indicator, which is realy a retrograde day of the week indicator. Even the display of the dials has been inverted on the face of the watch to freshen up things for everyone. In other words, Daymatic has the watch face on the right of the dial unlike the original style of having it on the left. Then there is the patented outsized date indicator and a subsidiary seconds dial.

The movement is L021.1 automatic and comprises of 426 parts with a 50 hour power reserve. The watch will officially launched at SIHH 2010 in Geneva. So we will tell you more on it. As of now, it is 39.5mm wide with the case crafted in either yellow gold, pink gold or platinum. It has a matching alligator strap too. Price should be $50,000 or more.
