The regular visitors to New York City can look forward to newer and better options for an opulent stay in the city. The city with its 22 hotels is already catering to a wide and diverse clientele. But there are 15 hotel projects in the pipeline that is going to almost double the rooms on offer.
The Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC is soon going to double up its capacity . Their first project amongst the new proposed initiatives is the $500 million hotel in the Times Square area. Tishman Hotel & Realty LP are partnering them in building this 600 room hotel. Jeffrey Beers International were hired to do the interiors of the new hotel. The lobby of the hotel has an unusual ambience as it comprises of an outdoor garden. The hotel boasts of over sized showers and cutting edge computer facilities. Chef Todd English will also run a 130 seat French restaurant in the hotel
The other hotels to be launched in the city in the near future include a Hotel Indigo boutique on 38th street. The Crowne Plaza is getting a hotel ready for launch in Long Island City and Holiday Inn is coming up with a hotel in the Bronx. All these new hotels are aimed at the business class segment and would be priced between $350 and $500. The large penthouse at the Intercontinental with four bedrooms would cost $15,000 per night. So travelers to the New York City be ready to be spoilt for choice.
