Michigan’s only Ritz Carlton to become The Henry Hotel

Ritz Carlton has a certain glitz (oh that rhymed!). In April, the citizens of Michigan were saddened by the news that they would be losing the sole Ritz Carlton hotel over there. It will now be known as The Henry after Henry Ford. Though the name will change, we hope that the same kind of luxury, elegance and service is provided that it’s predecessors were so famous for.

The change will take place on June 3rd. It will now become part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection of independent hotels. There are already eight hotels in this elite list. These hotels are said to have a distinct personality of their own, unlike the chain hotels that have a similar feel everywhere. The Henry hotel also happens to be near the Henry Ford Museum. The hotel was previously known as the Ritz Carlton Dearborn.

The new owners have stated that the original employees will be retained. Well we hope so too cause they had been doing a pretty good job till now. Only time will tell whether the new owners managed to make a seamless transition or not. Let’s just hope that the people of Michigan don’t have a reason to be disappointed again.
