To continue with its tradition of pampering its guests, the hotel has announced the opening of The Plaza Athénée Spa, which will rejuvenate the senses of the hotel guests. The lucky guests will be able to enjoy the latest spa and wellness therapies from around mid-May 2010.
The spa will have Asian themed private treatment suites boasting of Brazilian Teakwood floors, cabinetry with ebony finish and bamboo accents, grasscloth wallpaper, all of which will transport your senses to a pristine natural world. Each suite has a dressing room, lounge chair and a private steam shower. Guests can enjoy massage, facial, body wraps, reflexology, manicure, pedicure, make up application and a comprehensive spa menu. For couples, there is also an exclusive treatment suite.
The Spa will also have the Swiss Valmont and the German Babor Cosmetics skin care lines, which no other luxury spa in New York City can boast of having. Both these companies manufacture top notch skin care products which amalgamate nature and science in a perfect blend. The signature treatments offered here will be Valmont’s “L’Elixir des Glaciers Ultimate Treatment” and Babor’s “SeaCreationâ„¢ Facial”. Both of them revitalize the skin and clear all signs of ageing.
The spa opening will be the last stage of the hotel’s multi-million dollar renovation, which included the refurbishment of guestrooms and suites, the addition of four premier luxury suites, a new lobby look, a gym and a business center.
