Lamborghini Pregunta Prototype In The Market For $2.1 Million

A rare and unique Lamborghini Pregunta has recently come into the market for 1.6 million Euros or $2.1 million. This car was first featured way back in 1998 at the Paris Auto Show and then at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. It was in the possession of Carrosserie Hueliez, the Italian branch of the French prototype car specialist. It was then bought by Autodrome, which is a French retailer of rare and vintage cars. Lamborghini made the Pregunta for Hueliez after they had placed an order for a one-off concept car that was inspired by the Lamborghini’s Diablo. They wanted a car that was “new, original, and impossible to confuse with any other car’s shapes.”

The luxury car maker was going through a tough phase during this period. In 1994 it was sold to the Megatech Group by Chrysler. It was then bought by Tommy Suharto, son of the second President of Indonesia. It finally ended up being bought by Audi in 1998. This super sleek car is constructed using the super tough and super light carbon fiber. It has the interesting feature of having rear ward facing cameras instead of rear mirrors. Its 530hp V12 engine can attain top speed of 207 miles per hour.

Even though it is based on the Diablo, it has an extreme rear wheel drive design, which is lighter, instead of the all wheel drive of Lamborghini’s classic Diablo. This beauty takes inspiration from both Formula One as well as fighter jets. It has Dassault stealth external paintwork, just like the Dassault Rafale fighter jet. The Pregunta also comes with fully electronic F-1 type Marelli instruments, internal optical fiber lighting, and a GPS system. You can check it out more at the Autodrome website. You can also check out the hottest new cars by luxury car makers at the recently held New York Auto Show.
