Koket’s Guilty Pleasures Furniture Collection Is Jewelry-Inspired

As living spaces get smaller, furniture is tending towards minimal, no-fuss designs. The ornamentation of past decades is giving way to clean, simple lines. After all, you do not want your home to look cluttered. But different rules apply in the luxury sector. With large luxury mansions on offer, luxurious home décor items are a necessity for luxury buyers.

Koket has been catering to this exclusive clientele since its launch last year in Manassas, Va. The owner is Janet Morais, a talented interior designer from New York who is known to bring her own signature style to the furniture she designs. Thus, her Guilty Pleasures collection under the Koket brand name mixes furniture-making with the fine art of jewelry. The unique combination produces interesting results.

Morais has used the skills and techniques of woodworking and jewelry to develop a unique style. All the items in the Guilty Pleasures collection are custom-built in Portugal.

We love the Mandy demilune stool. This cute yet classy and ornate stool is inspired by a cuff bracelet. You do not have to be an expert to spot the similarities. This one is available in polished brass or stainless steel versions. And there is a velvet seat to top it.

The Orchidea console is another beautiful piece. This is a unique conversation piece in the classic Deco shape and it features brass pulls. For those who want to cut down on the jewelry factor, the Enigma tub chair is a great choice. Of course, luxury furniture does not come cheap. Be prepared to shell out $2,160 for the lune stool, $3,720 for the console and $2,860 for the tub chair.
