The music performers are using the available base of their fans to experiment profitably with other medium. If there is a possibility of commerce some of them are always willing to cash in. Johnny Lydon better known as Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols is the latest rock star to create a luxury coffee table book. It is called Mr. Rotten’s Scrapbook. It is going to have over 250 well laid out pages and the limited edition publication will have a print order of only 750 copies.
His band is called Public Image Ltd and his book will have a 12-inch vinyl picture disc built into the back of the book that has live recordings from his band. The recordings are taken from shows held last year and there are some tracks where Johnny just talks. The book is full of photographs. Some of his personal photographs are rare and have never been published before.
The cover of the book has X-rays of his skull. The book will cost you £379 if pre ordered but the cover price will be £449 when it is released for retail on December 1. 100 copies of the book will have a golden ticket that will allow you a direct webcam chat with the man himself.
