The Wall Street Journal is just going to get better for everyone, as it is going to cover up a brand new section of leisure and lifestyle. Those who always had an appetite for this particular section will not have to pay a fortune and buy magazines to replenish their knowledge, they can satiate their desire by buying Saturday’s edition of The Wall Street Journal.
This section will spread across 15-17 pages and will cover all that NYT’s Sunday Paper covers. Deborah Needleman will be in charge of the editorial, she describes this section as “fun, playful and irreverent,”( I wonder how these three adjectives will go down well with WSJ.)
Not so long ago, WSJ had introduced a 12 page section covering up the entire string of events happening in the New York. After having covered up almost everything that NYT was famous for WSJ had to look for a new way to strike a blow at the NYT, so it introduced this section.
Creating another set of niche audience was a tacky step taken by the Wall Street Journal to get back at the New York Times. The two editorial giants have been waging a cold war for a very long time now (especially after WSJ tried to steal readers and advertisers from NYT).Â
