The much awaited Steve Saleen official car is finally out for the world to gape at. The Signature Series is inspired by the 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T. The two vehicles called the SMS 570 and SMS 570X Challengers. The cars come certified for street use and are fitted with custom supercharged 5.7L Hemi V8s giving 500hp and 700 hp respectively.
The price of the SMS 570 model will start at $60,000 while the 570X comes for a little more at $70,000. After spending such money, you can be sure of a bumper-to-bumper factory warranty. Car enthusiatss are eager to try out the SMS 296 supercharger that has been applied to both cars. This system makes the cars extremely efficient. Then there is the Red Butterfly Induction hood.
Saleen has given the cars some unique modifications in the SMS branded drivetrain, suspension, braking, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and the interior as well. We particularly like the 20in aloys woth 14in brake rotors in the front while 12in units support the back. The car seats come with a two-tone leather trim. Sounds pretty exciting, eh?
