Mercedes Benz Unveil the Renderings of a New Yacht Concept at Monaco

Luxury car makers are facing tough market conditions as the economic uncertainty has settled in around the world. Mercedes Benz has been working hard and developing newer models that raise the bar of luxury in a car. They also take up unrelated activities and collaborate with other industries to strengthen their brand. Their latest initiative is collaboration between Mercedes Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine. They have come together to create a motor yacht that brings the style of Mercedes Benz and luxury automobiles to the water. Mercedes Benz unveiled the renderings of the new yacht concept at the Monaco Yacht Show last week.

They Call it the Siler Arrow of the Seas

Mercedes Benz is also going to unveil their new creation at the Paris Motor Show later which is going to be the electric version of its B Class model. In the mean time their new yacht concept has created a buzz in both yachting and the automobile world. Mercedes Benz Style has designed the new concept which they call ‘Silver Arrow of the Seas’. The design has been inspired by the Silver Arrow which was a highly successful line of racing cars produced by Mercedes Benz in the 1930s. The silhouette of the yacht seems to be a modern version of the Silver Arrow of the 1930s vintage. The details about the yacht concept are limited at the moment and only some basic information is available in the public domain.

The Yacht is Relatively Short by Today’s Standard

The yacht will be narrow and 46 feet long which is relatively short by today’s luxury yacht standard. Silver Arrow Marine which is a new collective of marine architects and engineers is in charge of the technical aspects and will do their best to make the yacht’s performance comparable to the best in the industry. Mercedes-Benz Style has chosen the materials and color combinations for the interior. The Silver Arrow of the Seas by Mercedes Benz is sure to appeal to the large and affluent customer base of the luxury automobile brand.
