Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II to Take Place on the Thames River

The spectacular diamond jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II will achieve its climax, when the 1,000-strong flotilla will sail on the river Thames on 3rd June. The organizers will produce the biggest river pageant on the Thames. The queen’s ceremonial boat with the royal family will be viewed by a million spectators. The seven mile long flotilla will finish its three hour travel in the midst of music.

Her highness has chosen the closest confidants than foreign dignitaries, politicians and world leaders to join her. She has selected the most worthy family members, courtiers and a few closest friends.  The Queen, seated on a throne on the deck of  the Spirit of Chartwell, will be joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The boat adorned with decoration which takes its journey from Battersea Bridge to Tower Bridge.

The guest list of Queen reflects who she believes are her close friends. During the span of sixty 60-years of reign, each and everyone who has served her loyally, from her florist to wine expert as well as from plumber to diary secretary at Buckingham Palace have been accommodated. Her inner circle takes pride to be listed. It was decided to participate in the flotilla by senior member of the royal household. According to plan, Senior Royals would be travelling on separate vessels flanking the Chartwell.

Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice along with father The Duke of York will be on board the Havengore, Boris Johnson Mayor of London will join them. Paddle steamer the Elizabethan will be aboard by the Duchess of Cambridge’s family.  Prince William always wished to be close to wife’s family. So the best seats for them are not a coincidence.
