Breakfast Sky Tour with Peninsula Hong Kong

Fancy a feast in the skies? The Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong has launched an exclusive limited-period champagne breakfast in the sky scheme for its guests. The programme is executed in association with The Peninsula’s sister company, Heliservices, and will treat guest to a sumptuous meal followed by a helicopter flight over Hong Kong’s magnificent skyline.

The programme starts with a meal at the hotel’s lounge, The China Clipper, which is known for its aviation-theme; the lavish breakfast platter is topped with a serving of bubbly. After the meal, guests are escorted to one of the two helipads situated on top of the hotel, for the next phase of the programme – the helicopter ride. An Aerospatiale twin-engine Squirrel AS355N, boasting wraparound windows, provides a quick flight over the city, covering its major landmarks. Prominent sights of Hong Kong, which guests can enjoy during the ride includes the soaring towers of IFC and the long, winding race tracks of Happy Valley. In addition, the helicopter stops briefly at the North Point to provide guests with an opportunity to take photographs of the Kowloon and Hong Kong scenery. The eight-minute-long, exhilarating tour finishes with a landing at The Peninsula’s rooftop. Flights are available everyday between 9.45 am and 10.45 am, on Sundays and public holidays; each flight can accommodate a maximum of five passengers.

Priced at HK$1,388 per person, the package includes a meal at The Clipper Lounge with a glass of champagne along with the helicopter ride. The programme began on January 8, 2012 and will continue till June 24 this year. The hotel welcomes prior reservations from resident guests as well as visitors as availability is limited and on the spot booking may not always be possible.

Would you make place for a helicopter tour of Hong Kong with champagne and breakfast in your itinerary during your next visit to the city?
