Yesterday, I wrote about the Absolut Mode Edition, the premium vodka brand’s holiday offering. Absolut is not alone. Piper-Heidseick Champagne has launched its own festive offering, limited edition bottles of Piper-Heidseick Bodyguard. These bottles of luxury alcohol are clearly inspired by the regal and rugged elegance of the crocodile. Campaign images present the beautiful red bottle being guarded, so to speak, within the curve of a crocodile’s tail. Look closer and you will find that the bottle itself bears a red crocodile pattern.
The beautifully curved bottle of the limited edition Piper-Heidseick Bodyguard plays up two colors – red and gold. The result is rich and befitting royalty. We love the bold new design. It is sure to be a hit over the festive season. The crocodile-skin look of the bottle was achieved by using state-of-the-art thermoplastic elastomer technology. The results are stunning.
How did they do it? The first step involved scanning the skin of a crocodile from the Nile. This scanning process continued for twelve days and nights. In a way, it is a testament to Piper-Heidseick’s focus on perfectionism. Following the lengthy scanning process, the image of the crocodile skin was laser-printed into a steel mould. Molten latex was then poured into this mould. Herein was born the crocodile-look skin of the new Piper-Heidseick Bodyguard bottles.
This luxury champagne is set to become available across Singapore from this month onwards. There is no mention of the price yet, but these limited edition bottles are sure to add a whole other dimension to your Christmas/New Year parties. And when you are done, don’t chuck that stunning bottle.
