Missoni flats in Manila Attracts Filipinos Living Abroad

Manila real estate market has opened up to designer property and the man behind this initiative is Robbie Antonio, managing director at Century Properties which has signed a deal with Missoni Home to create a new luxury apartment complex. Earlier in the year Century Properties had teamed up with another Italian fashion house, Versace to co-brand a property in Manila. The project is a 53 story Versace condo called Milano whose interiors will be designed by Versace. It is Robbie’s belief in designer luxury that has made these collaborations a reality and you have celebrity architects offering designer apartments in Manila. The success of Milano encouraged him to go for other designers.

This will be the first condo for Missoni as he is known for the line of hotels he created with Rezidor Hotel Group. The husband and wife team of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni have concentrated on hotels alone and have designed and created several of them since then. Century Properties have gone in for some other celebrity hook-ups and are hosting Paris Hilton this week for designing and creating the concept for a clubhouse for the company’s Azure condos in Manila. Mr. Antonio was impressed by Paris’ ability to work long hours day after day.

The club to be called Paris Beach Club at Azure would be located in the middle of the complex and will be centered around a manmade beach. Century’s experience of these high profile tie ups has been very good so far as it helps them sell units faster and even allows them to charge a premium for the property. The prices in the Versace project start from $100,000 and go up to $1.7 million. The target group for the new projects is mostly nonresident Filipinos who live and work abroad.
