The world’s costliest tequila popsicle costs a staggering $1,000 per pop, because it is made with 24-carat gold flakes and the super-expensive Tequilas Premium Clase Azul Ultra tequila. The latter costs $1,500 per bottle.
If you do not mind spending the money on this super-expensive popsicle, make your way to the Marquis Los Cabos resort in Baja California Sur and book yourself in one of their 237 suites. Apart from serving this $1,000 popsicle, the luxury resort is also known for its brilliant infinity pool.
Ella Messerli, the general manager of the hotel, said that the Marquis Los Cabos has a new approach to service, something they are calling “Customized Luxury”. As such, the hotel has on offer this extravagant tequila pop as well as a range of fantasy services and programs.
The luxury resort has the unique distinction of being the first hotel in Baja California Sur to get the Distinctive T honors. That was the reason why Marquis Los Cabos was chosen as the venue for the global launch of tequila brand Casa Azul Ultra back in 2007. The Distinctive T honors are awarded by the Tequila Regulatory Council in Mexico. The award is given to hotels and resorts that are involved in the promotion of tequila’s quality, culture and prestige. Marquis Los Cabos earned this distinction because it met stringent criteria. This involved educating its staff and serving only authentic tequila among other things.
