Mobiado Releases The Grand Touch, Its First Touch Screen Phone

Not everyone can afford expensive luxury phones. But for those that can, Canadian luxury mobile phone specialist Mobiado has a high-end treat. The company has finally ventured into the area of touch screen phones with The Grand Touch. This model is available in a technological variation as The Grand Touch GCB. So in effect, wealthy buyers have two versions of the same luxury phone from which to choose.

One look at The Grand Touch and you are convinced that this is no ordinary mobile handset. The phone is sleek and elegant, the perfect fit for the urban sophisticate. The phone features flat circular buttons amid a subtle, no-frills design. However, the simplicity of its appearance does not take away from its obviously expensive appeal.

The body of this beautiful luxury phone is crafted from solid aircraft aluminum that has been through CNC machining. The plating is of gold and solid brass. The CNC machining is a necessary part of the process of building this luxury mobile phone, for that is the only way to achieve the straight lines and edges in place of the usual curves. Design credits for the overall appearance goes to Peter Bonac. And here comes the exciting part. Elected black-painted sapphire crystal provides the inlay for the frames. The sapphire crystal not only lines each corner and forms the battery cover, but 2 pieces of the same precious material join at a sharp angle for the back, which features an engraving of the Mobiado emblem.

Available in six versions – black, black satin, blue, grey, red and silver – The Grand Touch features Integrated A-GPS, a 5mp camera with LED flash and a 4-inch display of 480 x 800 pixels.
