We normally associate doll houses with old Victorian Doll’s house designs and matching furniture in designs that were popular generations ago. Minimii has created a dollhouse that is a miniature replica of Arne Jacobsen’s actual home in Charlottenlund. This dollhouse was in the making for some time now and is available for sale online. This is an elaborate model but a similar but simpler model has also been made available. Called the MiiBox, it is a smaller, wall-mounted version of the doll house. It is being promoted as being suitable for both children and adults as it can be used for displays apart from interactive play. They need not worry as there is a demand for even $10,000 dollhouse.
The original Arne Jacobsen’s villa in Charlottenlund was built in 1929. You can now order the true copy of the house and furnish it in your own personal style. If you order early enough you can get your name on the front door of the dollhouse. The design is executed in scale 1:16. Few adjustments have been made to make the design more accessible and play friendly. The details of the miniature house are simply fascinating.
The first 300 orders for any of the dollhouse will not only entitle to have his name engraved on the front door but also get Arne Jacobsen furniture and accessories free along with the dollhouse. The value of this free package of furniture and accessories is € 155. Minimii wants to bring high quality design to toys for children and adults. With the stylish, functional and timeless design – in mini size – children’s fantasy can run wild. Minimii is the brain child of Linda Stenberg who was hunting for a dollhouse for her two oldest daughters and ended up designing one for them.
