Jacob & Co., the New York based luxury watch and diamond jewelry house used the Baselworld, the most significant event for the fine jewelry and watch industry to make a glamorous announcement. They used the convention floor at Baselworld to organize a red carpet affair to welcome the Ukrainian born super model Milla Jovovich as their new spokesperson. Jacob Arabo, the owner of Jacob & Company personally hosted the elaborately planned evening fete and introduced Milla as a super model, actress, musician and cover girl with over 150 appearances on magazine covers.
Jacob Arabo is among the most in-demand jewelry designers of modern-day royalty personalities. He launched his flagship store in NYC in 2004 and now sells Swiss-made timepieces and precious jewelry for both discerning men and women, the world over. Like his exclusive and colorful designs he made the evening very special and colorful. There was a Dom Perignon Champagne bar and high standing, illuminated tables, as willowy female models were in attendance in large numbers. The evening fete had a global theme and it highlighted five time zones with its geographical fashion statements.
DJ Kay Rush was at hand to provide the entertainment for the evening. Ms. Jovovich and Mr. Arabo made a grand entrance, strolling in side-by-side on the VIP red carpet. It was choreographed for maximum impact. There was a rush of photographers to click the most photogenic woman on earth. Kay Rush who was doubling up as the MC introduced the beauty as Jacob & Co’s new spokesperson in no less than five languages. Jovovich also addressed the gathering and emphasized on her commitment to the brand and its campaigns. Mr. Arabo expressed his happiness and satisfaction at finding the perfect ‘Jacob Girl’.
