It has introduced a mobile based front desk bypass solution that allows the guests to skip the reception desk and directly open their room via use of a cellphone key. This facility would be available at IHG’s Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago O’Hare Rosemont and the Holiday Inn Express Houston Downtown.
This new technology will simply cut down on the effort of doing a physical check-in at the front desk. To avail their mobile key sanction, the guests will have to send across an email to the hotel staff before the check in date. On the day of arrival, the guest will receive a text message with their assigned room number and a secured link to retrieve the room key.
