MB&F’s bizarre HM4 Thunderbolt timepiece

Last month, the high- end watch makers MB&F showcased their bizarre HM4 Thunderbolt. Now the company has finally come out with this watch, and it is definitely not something you would have seen before. Three years have gone into making this wrist watch which is one of the strangest wrist watches I have ever seen.

It is based around a very complex HM4 engine, and comes with dual dials. One indicates the time and the other indicates the power. The casing looks like a mix between a jet engine and an espresso machine. Though the company thinks of this timepiece as pretty simple, but I am sure most of us would beg to differ. Almost 72 hours worth of power can be stored by the two mainspring barrels in this HM4 movement. This power can then be transferred to the indication pods through the vertical gear trains.

And check this out, there are an amazing 50 jewels and 311 components in its engine! The calfskin strap is hand stitched and has a titanium and white gold clasp. Coming at $158,000 the price tag is surely not simple as well. The strange look might attract the attention of some filthy rich watch enthusiast.
